In 2025 we welcomed a total of 4000 students and chaperones!

Wander’s Tiny Farm can be booked for school, daycare, or group home trips on days we are not open to walk-in visitors. School, daycare, or group home trips can be booked year-round. Our farm is lots of fun for school kids till about grade 4.

• “School day filling” 4 hour time slot - $7.00 (plus tax) per person attending - Minimum rate of $210.- (plus tax)

• “Budget friendly field trip” 3 hour time slot - $5.50 (plus tax) per person attending - Minimum rate of $165.- (plus tax)

  • “Minimum rate” applies on days that we are not open to walk-in visitors (groups below 30 people)

• Groups larger than 100 attendees get a 4 hour field trip for the price of a 3 hour field trip.

• Mandatory: minimum of 1 chaperone per 5 children (not bringing enough chaperones may result in refusal of entry)

• Multiple groups can visit at once - upto 200 attendees

We have lots of different activities and school groups can freely roam over the farm park, either in small groups with a chaperone or the chaperones can spread out over the farm park and the kids move between the different activities themselves. We have noticed that for most school trips the later option is most relax and fun for both the kids and the chaperones. For school field trips a ratio of one adult per five children is mandatory - this is per our liability insurance. Failure to bring enough chaperones may result in refusal of entry onto the farm.

We have a large building with tables and chairs for the kids to eat their snacks or lunch - there is room for up to 90 people to have lunch at once. Larger groups can eat lunch in 2 shifts. We currently don’t have a drinking water station yet, so kids need to bring their own water.

Because we highly value education we handle a discounted admission fee for field trips on days that we are closed to walk-in visitors. Field trips are $5.50/$7.00 +tax per person (same rate for both kids and adults, including chaperones, support workers, and teachers) and start at $165 +tax (=30 people). Smaller groups are welcome however the minimum fee of $165 + tax applies.

Multiple groups can visit our farm during the same time slot. We can host up to 200 people at once. We will try to book classes of similar age at the same time.

The standard time slot for field trips during our busy season (in April, May, June, and September) is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10.00AM till 1:00/2:00PM. We might be able to accommodate other moments for groups who are unable to make our standard time slot work.

It is certainly possibly to book for multiple classes or even the whole school at the same time. If you book a group of 140 people or more, we won’t book any other classes at the same time. If you want to book for multiple classes please have one contact person for all communications. Because we are a farm and provide different farm education opportunities, a class trip to Wander’s Tiny Farm could be eligible for a grand from ‘Ag in the classroom’.

To book a field trip please fill in the ‘field trip bookings form’ and we will contact you about booking for a specific date. Please note that we may take a few weeks to get back to you for booking request for trips far in advance. But you are never too early to fill in the form!
